After embracing the snow, everything fell into place for a wonderful mid-winter walk from Bartram's Garden to the Dupont Crescent this past Saturday hosted by BCGP and the Complete the Trail Coalition. Over a 100 people came out for the walk to get a feel for where the new Schuylkill River Trail will be going in South and Southwest Philadelphia over the next couple of years. Bartram's Garden path is one of the fortunate segments that will receive TIGER funding, awarded on February 17th by US DOT.
Sarah Francis of Friends of Cynwyd Trail took some great photos and a video of Bob Thomas describing President's Lincoln's flight through Philadelphia. Bob's group got the historical tour, which we heard was great.
More photos on our Flickr site taken by Lane Fike of SRDC, Breen Goodwin of BCGP.
