Philadelphia's City Council Budget Hearings -- Worth Attending

2008 City Council Bike Share Hearing
What sounds more boring than a City Council budget hearing? Not much. But, last week, it was during the Managing Director's Office budget hearing that Deputy Mayor Rina Cutler answered Councilwoman Reynolds-Brown's question about north-south bike lanes and revealed that the City is planning to announce them later this month.

Also, it makes an impression when City Council members see supporters for individual department budgets.  So please, come down to City Hall and attend these two budget hearings to show your support for trees, parks, recreation centers, bike paths, bike lanes, resurfaced streets, bike boxes, sharrows, and the like.  You may learn something new about the City's ongoing plans to become the greenest city in America. City Hall, 4th Floor, bring your i.d.
