As described in a previous post, the Philadelphia Streets Department has proposed Bicycle Parking Regulations that provide guidance on design and spacing requirements. Once these regulations are final, wave racks, school racks and other poorly designed racks will no longer conform to the code and be legal. The regulations also spells out the process for installing art racks. Comments are due on June 30th. "Anyone affected by the regulations can request a public hearing."
