First Fairmount Ave Bike Lane Meeting Happening Monday

The first of the civic association meetings to measure community support for a Fairmount Ave bike lane is coming up Monday!

Francisville Neighborhood Development Corporation
January 28th, 2013
Doors open at 5:30 pm, meeting at 6:15 pm
2nd Pilgrim Baptist Church, 15th & Ogden Street
Refreshments will be served

If you live between Fairmount Ave and Girard, and between Broad St and Corinthian, you can vote. To see a map of that zone, click here.

Fairmount Ave west of Broad Street is wide enough to accommodate bike lanes without the loss of a vehicular lane or parking. Bike lanes on that street will help calm and organize traffic and promote the many bike-customer-friendly businesses along Fairmount Ave. We will be presenting the case for the lane to the Francisville Neighborhood Dev Corp this Monday, and will be asking that the assembled meeting vote on providing a letter of support.

If you live in the FNDC's borders and support the lane, please attend! This is how we get new bike lanes in Philly - by demonstrating community support.
