Share Your Views About Bike Lanes on Fairmount Avenue

Wide enough for bike lanes without affecting parking
Do you use Fairmount Ave for walking, biking, or driving? We want your feedback on adding bike lanes!

The plan: Philly's Pedestrian/Bicycle Plan recommends new standard (5 foot) bike lanes going east and west on Fairmount Avenue between Pennsylvania and Ridge Avenues. Fairmount Avenue is wide enough that bike lanes can be installed without removing any parking lanes or travel lanes.

Your part: What do you think? Do you like the idea of new bike lanes on Fairmount Avenue? If not, why not? Council President Clarke and Councilman Greenlee are interested in learning about the neighborhoods' and the general public's views.

We worked with the Fairmount Civic Association to develop an online survey to gather public opinion. We have also shared it with Fairmount CDC, Young Friends of Fairmount, Francisville Neighborhood Development Corporation and Spring Garden Civic Association.

Please fill out the survey and share it with others who might be interested. We'll report the survey results on this blog and with Council. The deadline for filling out the survey is June 22nd. (Please note: This survey only allows one survey response per IP address.)
