Limerick Township Holding A Meeting For Their New Master Trail Plan

On June 21st Limerick Township will be holding a kickoff meeting for their Greenways and Trail Master Plan. The plan will lay out the vision for a network of trails withing the township as well as connecting to The Circuit via the Schuylkill River Trail which is currently being designed and built on the Chester County side of the River.

There will be follow-up public meetings on the plan scheduled for September, October and January. The timeline suggests that the plan should be be finished early in 2013.

Limerick Township is also doing a rezoning study of Ridge Pike. In March a presentation of the drafted recommendations included the following as a goal: "Encourage the development of Ridge Pike as a complete street that safely accommodates multiple forms of transportation." The rendering from the project shows bike lanes on Ridge Pike.
