Philly Is Biking This Week: The Ride of Silence

The annual Ride of Silence is happening this Wednesday.  The Ride of Silence honors bicyclists killed or injured by motor vehicles, and raises awareness about bicyclists' right to share the road.  This will be the 6th consecutive Ride in Philadelphia. 

Date: Wednesday, May 18th (rain or shine)
Time: 6:45 pm
Meeting place: foot of the Art Museum steps
Distance: 8 miles
Time:  approximately 1 hour

There will be brief remarks at 6:45 and the ride will start at 7:00 pm.  The ride will be done in silence with rolling street closures.  Helmets are required and lights are encouraged.
