Bicyclist Killed by Hit and Run Driver in Upper Bucks County

From Phillyburbs.com: Plumstead Township police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck who struck and killed a 66 Year Old John Chapman from Queens, NY this afternoon. The victim was with a group of long distance cyclists riding from New York to Quakertown and was reading a cue sheet on the northbound side of Durham Rd just north of Ridgeview Dr in the Township when he was struck.

The crash occurred at approximately 4:30PM. The offending vehicle is described as a 2000 to 2006 Chevy or GMC pickup which is likely missing a passenger side mirror.

Anyone with information relating to this crash is asked to call Plumstead Township police at 215-766-8741 or 215-766-8740 for a police dispatcher after normal business hours.
