Bicyclist Critically Injured on Market St in Center City

A car-bicycle crash that critically injured a cyclist was reported this morning at the intersection of 7th and Market. According to KYW's Al Novak the cyclist had the green light and was struck by an eastbound motorist who may have been blinded by sun glare.

According to another source, a witness reported that the motorist actually got out of the car and ran away. However this has not been confirmed and there was no indication of a hit and run in the radio report. The car's windshield was smashed by the impact of the crash. Of course, the report did mention the victim was not wearing a helmet.
