Philadelphia's award winning Mural Arts Program should look at what Ocean City (NJ) just did. A compass was painted at an intersection on Haven Avenue - the east coast's first bicycle boulevard. Streetfilms also recorded a similar street painting project done in Brooklyn. Imagine our collection of outdoor artwork complemented by decorative street murals.
Both projects were inspired by Sunnyside Piazza - a flower painted at an intersection in Portland Oregon in 2001. It's a great example of neighbors taking back their street.
