Who had the best time yesterday on May 16, 2009? Had to be the visitors and participants of this year's Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby. Best parade I've been to, maybe ever. Entrants made human powered "sculptures" out of bicycle parts. They processed on a 3 mile route for an hour through the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, and finished the Derby by bicycling through a mud pit. A true testament to having fun on a bicycle. A crew from Streetsfilm were there filming it all. Can't wait to see that one.
