Thank You Philadelphia Bikesmith and Firstrust Bank for Your Support and Novelty Oversize Check

This January local bike shop Philadelphia Bikesmith was a finalist in Firstrust Bank's BizFirst Awards. They were the only bike-related business in the running. This month they learned that they were a runner-up in the contest, which puts "a spotlight on local businesses in the Greater Philadelphia area for their continued growth and success along with thoughtful service to the local communities."

Their placing awarded them $500 from Firstrust and an additional $500 to be given to the most handsome nonprofit they could find. They chose us, and then went the extra charming step of designating their $500 for our work as well!

We are deeply appreciative to the guys at Philadelphia Bikesmith, for recognizing that the work we do making our region a better, safer place for bicycling benefits both their business and the community in which they work and live. A special thank you to Lucas Drecksage from Philadelphia Bikesmith, who made this happen.

We are also very grateful to Firstrust Bank for their support of us and local businesses and nonprofits, bicycle-oriented or otherwise. We also like how Firstrust is making that middle t in their name do double duty. That smacks of efficiency and a keen eye for value.
