Get Your Bicycle-Related Art Displayed in City Hall

Our artist-designed bike rack contest is over, and the final designs are beginning to be fabricated. You will be able to see some of the winning racks in the flesh steel at the Flower Show coming up at the beginning of March.

But what's that you say? You've created some bicycle-themed art that, while not a functional bike rack, is still fabulous? Well the Art Gallery at City Hall wants to display it!

Creative Philadelphia has put out a call soliciting "art that utilizes bicycle parts and explores themes of sustainability, health and the urban environment. Found object and kinetic sculpture, two dimensional designs, and works that explore the mechanics of movement are encouraged."

The selected pieces will be displayed alongside the winning bike racks this spring. Check out the full call for artists here for details. The deadline is February 28th.
