Join Us at the Philly Bike Expo This Weekend
The Philly Bike Expo arrives this Saturday and Sunday in its new home, the PA Convention Center! While we are sad to say goodbye to the charm and intimacy of the old Armory space, this Expo should be the biggest one to date. Advance tickets are on sale now.
We will be there! The Expo features a large exhibition floor with vendors offering a nigh-overwhelming collection of bicycling gear, swag, and bikestuffs. There will also be two days of seminars events, where you can nourish and challenge the brain component of bicycling.
In addition to a booth on the exhibition floor, our staff will be leading or participating in several seminars:
Saturday, 1:30 - 2:30 PM
ABCs of Family Biking - Diana Owens Steif
A discussion and meetup focused on community, gear, and techniques for biking with your family, especially with young children.
Sunday, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Women's Panel - featuring Katie Monroe
A conversation about women, gender, and bicycling.
Sunday, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Connecting the Circuit - Sarah Clark Stuart, moderator.
A panel discussion featuring Patrick Starr (PEC), Silas Chamberlain (Delaware & Lehigh Corridor), Chris Linn (DVRPC) and Jake Gordon (Cooper's Ferry Partnership), whose organizations are all heavily involved in building new trails in our region. The panel will provide updates on different sections of The Circuit trail system. Hear the latest on obtaining new money to build new trails, and how your voice could get your dream trail built!
