Sidewalk on Platt Bridge In SW Philly Closed For Construction

A notice to users of the George C. Platt Memorial Bridge (Penrose Avenue/Route 291) in southwest Philadelphia: we've been told that the  sidewalk for the bridge will be closed as part of the ongoing bridge construction. The contractor for the construction will be providing a courtesy shuttle service equipped to accommodate bicycles and pedestrians. Signs indicating the waiting area will be erected at each end of the bridge.

We are unsure how long this closure will last, so be prepared for a shuttle. The bridge's website might have more information down the line.
