River to River Ride showcases Park Improvements in Camden

In celebration of the reopening of Farnham Park and its connection to the Camden GreenWay trail network, Cooper’s Ferry Development Corporation and Camden Greenways Inc. will sponsor a 3-mile bicycle ride from the Delaware River Waterfront to Farnham Park on the Cooper River. The ride will begin at 10am at Campbell’s Field, arriving to Farnham Park in time for the Grand Reopening ceremony. To register for the event, please contact Sarah Marks at (856) 757-9154 or marks@coopersferry.com.

Much of the route will the go through the locations where the TIGER Grant street improvements will begin later this summer. Work crews will be adding bike lanes, sharrows and new sidewalks along Pearl, MLK and Pine St.

The new multi-use path in Farnham park will connect the Pine St multi-use path in New Camden Park with the Kaighns Avenue sidepath, which leads out to North Park Drive near the Airport Circle. It is hoped that a future trail will cross US 130 to access Camden County's Cooper River Park path network.
