Reminder: North-South Bike Lane Community Meeting Tonight!

The Mayor's Office of Transportation and Utilities is holding a community meeting tonight on the 10th and 13th Street pilot bike lanes.  This is your chance to hear in greater detail the City's thinking behind the program, and for the City to get a grasp on the public's concerns and support.  If you live in the area and support the lanes, or have concerns, or just love spending time at Jefferson University, please attend.

A common and easy criticism of bike lanes is tha they are imposed on an unconsulted public.  Meetings like this are a great way to let the City know there is public support for new bicycling infrastructure.

What: Community Meeting
Why:  10th and 13th Street Bike Lanes pilot program
Date: Today, Tuesday May 10th
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 pm
Location: Jefferson University's Alumni Hall (1000 Locust Street, Phila PA)

It would be great if the Bike Coalition could get and post a copy of MOTU's power point presentation. I think it would be informative for many of us.
