Cynwyd Heritage Trail Workdays

The Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail has several workdays scheduled including a big, tree planting extravaganza on April 10th. Here is a brief rundown of the upcoming workdays:

• Saturday March 20th, 8:30am-4:30pm the Township and the Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail will be preparing worksites by clearing weeds and amending soil. The Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail will be providing lunch and refreshments.
• Saturday March 27th, 8:30am-3:30pm the Township and regional Scout Troops will be preparing worksites by clearing weeds and amending soil.
• Saturday April 10th, 8:30 am-4:30 pm the Township and the Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail will be planting trees. The Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail will be providing lunch and refreshments.
• Sunday April 11th, 8:30 am-12:30 pm the Township and the Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail will be planting trees. The Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail will be providing lunch and refreshments. Lunch will take place at the Cynwyd Club from 12:30-2:00 pm. At 2:30 West Laurel Hill Cemetery will lead a walk from the Cynwyd Trail through West Laurel Hill Cemetery highlighting the historic features and specimen plantings.
• Saturday and Sunday April 17th and 18th, 8:30 am-12:30 the Township and volunteers will check on the new plantings and continuing to prepare this section for future plantings.
