Please Come to the National Bicycle Summit Lobby Day - March 11th

The League of American Bicyclists is hosting its 10th National Bicycle Summit between March 9-11th in Washington D.C.  This conference/lobby day is "where advocates, industry executives and education experts gather to speak up for bicycling on Capitol Hill."  The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia will be attending and we invite you to join us on Thursday, March 11th to walk the halls of Congress and visit our elected representatives.  We'll be asking Members of Congress to fund trail segments that will Complete the Schuylkill River Trail and East Coast Greenway and ask for their support of federal transportation, climate change and other pieces of  legislation that will get more people on bikes more often.

There are several ways for you to participate.  If you would like to attend the 2 day conference on March 9-10, register now.

If you would like to join BCGP staff in meeting with Congressional staff on Thursday, March 11th, please send us an email with your contact information, so we can coordinate these visits with your Congressional representative's office. This day involves traveling down to Washington DC, meeting up with us around 9am on the House side, walking around to offices most of the day and ending up at a reception on the Senate side around 4pm.  This is a fun and learning experience!  Please join us if you can.
