The Bicycle Ambassadors are only two weeks away from the official program launch. Mayor Nutter will join the Bicycle Ambassadors for National Bike to Work Day on May 15th with a ride into the City and a press conference to follow.
The Ambassadors are currently accepting event requests for May 18th through mid-September for the Center City, University City and Fairmount Park neighborhoods of Philadelphia. Check out the website for additional information or print out the event request form. The Ambassadors are a free community resource.
Most commonly requested Ambassador Events:
- Brown Bag Lunches for companies and local organizations
- “Basics of Bike Commuting” or “Fix-A-Flat” presentations
- Attendance at local events (including farmers’ markets, festivals & fundraisers)
- Attendance at community and corporate Heath & Transportation Fairs
- Attendance at events held at places of worship & community centers
