REI Now Accepting Bicycle Commuter Vouchers

REI is the first area retail store to sign on for the Commuter Check bicycle vouchers.

The inability to collect parking or transit benefits and the limited number of accepting bike shops will probably discourage employers and bike commuters from signing up in droves for now. Still $20 is $20 and Congressman Blumenauer is seeking to make the bicycle commuter benefit compatible with its companion programs.

The NY Times Blog talks about the program:
Biking Has Its (Tax) Benefits. Or Does It
