Bike to Earth Day

Earth Day and Bike To Work Day are only one month apart. So close but not quite joined together as one. It's kind of like the disconnect between the bicycling and environmenal movements. My favorite phrase is "If every household in the United States replaced one regular lightbulb with one of those new compact fluorescent bulbs, the pollution reduction would be equivalent to removing one million cars from the road."

Excuse me, What about taking one million cars off the road?

Perhaps we need to rephrase the calculation--If every household in the United States took one car off the road the pollution reduction would be equivalent to replacing 16 billion incandescent light bulbs.
