Hooray Bike Lanes on Welsh Road!
Welsh Road between Willits Road and Roosevelt Blvd is the setting for the city's newest bike lanes. This overly wide two lane road has traditionally been a automobile free for all with motorists sometimes creating 2 or 3 staggered ad hoc lanes.
The bike lanes clearly demarcate this as a two lane road, but my observation is that it is going to take a couple of weeks for motorists to adjust. I was buzzed by a very impatient motorist who decided the best way to get around a left turning vehicle was by going through me.
