PennDOT continues to address dangerous slide conditions in the northern area of the county.
One major problem site is located along Route 1003 between Templeton and Mahoning in Pine Township where the road has narrowed so much from sliding that emergency responders have expressed concern that their vehicles might not be able to travel along it.
Jim Struzzi, PennDOT community relations coordinator, said there is a short range solution and a long range solution for that slide.
Long term, Struzzi said, a study is underway to possibly relocate the road onto an existing bike path nearer the Allegheny River.

That would involve about one mile of new roadway. Struzzi did not know at what points the new road would be diverted from the old one.
